You think you know mecha action? Have you ever experienced the thrill of firing laser blasts at oncoming enemies and being the leading man/lady in a Bollywood blockbuster at the same time. Would you like to defeat your enemies under a hail of missile fire then earn star power as you wooing your love with a rousing dance number?

Then you’re in luck. Get ready for a game that’s part mecha battle, part Bollywood movie. This is Mekayana.

That’s right. If you want to own Mekayana, all you have to do is fill out that form below and we’ll email you your very own copy. Open it up, read it, maybe run a game of two of it. Have some fun!

Why would we give you a game we think is so great?

Well, you may notice the game doesn’t have any art. We’re kind of hoping that if you like the game you’ll considering donating a little money to the Mekayana cause.

And with that money we’re going to buy art. In fact, every dollar you donate will go to buying art and, eventually, printing the book. We figure that, on average, it costs about a thousand dollars to do a mecha art book right since we want a nice cover and lots of pictures of robots warring, brave men and women fighting, and evil NPCs being evil.

Hopefully we can get enough people interested in the game that we can pay an artist to bring this world to life since we’ve never seen Bollywood giant fighting robots and we’re willing to bet no one else has, either.

The plan

If we had all the art we wanted, Mekayana would sell for around $10, so if you’d like to give us that much, that would be great. If you want to do more, awesome! And if you want to do less, that’s cool, too. Whatever works.

Once we have art, then we’ll do a new layout and do a print run of physical copies (with your name in the donors list, by the way.) Better yet, if you donate now when there’s no art, we’ll email you a full art PDF when we get them made. Sound good?

So, give it some thought. If you want to sign up, great. We’ll probably let you know what’s going on with us from time to time, but more importantly, the game is yours. And we promise, if you never donate anything, no hard feelings! Just enjoy the game. However, if you like the game, please consider helping us out.
